In-depth therapy

I hope to offer a safe, open, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, dreams, and desires. Where you can talk about anything. I work with you to foster curiosity, exploration, and creativity so you can gain insight into your symptoms, uncovering their meaning in the context of your life. When we neglect such understanding, the same problems tend to repeat in our lives in different ways. When we nurture it, we may find long-term transformation.

Anxiety, depression, and trauma

I have particular experience working with people who experience anxiety, often in the form of social anxiety, excessive worry, or perfectionism. I have also worked extensively with those going through excessive sadness, a negative view of the self, complex grief, and depression, and with those struggling with the aftermath of trauma, including posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex trauma.

Life transitions

Part of what is so difficult about a transition is that it can revise your sense of the past and alter your vision of the future. Sometimes transitions arise from major life events, death, a divorce, a job loss, a move. Sometimes they seem more vague. You might simply feel that your life has gone off course, or that a change is needed. I can accompany you as you navigate what may feel like unsteady waters.

Concerns related to identity

You may wish to feel more at ease with different parts of yourself. You may want to be more comfortable in your own skin. You may simply wish to gain greater insight into yourself. I can serve as a guide for the kind of self-exploration that can help you know yourself better and accept yourself for who you are.
